Mark Appleget – Equipment Sales
Mark Appleget is a veteran of the semiconductor capital equipment business, having worked in both the asset-management and OEM sectors. His specialties lie within the equipment sales spectrum, from sourcing high-value semiconductor systems for remarketing to identifying arbitrage opportunities of available assets that could lead to fee-based opportunities, cultivating sales channels to redeploy speculative assets and developing contractual remarketing programs. Mark's professional experience includes Babcock & Brown Electronics Management as OEM sales manager. Over the years, Mark held a wide variety of sales management positions at Hitachi High Technologies and Nissei Sangyo America (which became part of HHT), including several years managing the company's Intel account as well as other high-level accounts such as Motorola, HP/Agilent, IBM and Atmel. Mark has served as a board member of the Surplus Equipment Consortium Network (SEC/N), which eventually became part of SEMI. He holds a bachelor's degree in general science (zoology and physics) from the University of Iowa.
Paul Edstrom – Technology Investments
Paul Edstrom has been deeply involved in the growth and development of the semiconductor industry for the past 38 years. He has worked with both tool manufacturers and financial services companies. Paul is involved with equipment valuations and portfolio development. Paul began his technology career in the manufacturing sector, working for Intel and Ultratech Stepper. He quickly moved into the financial services industry and joined GE Capital, and later left to form Comdisco Electronics Services, where he was responsible for portfolio development and equipment valuations. In 2002, Paul re-joined GE Capital and its Global Electronics Services group as senior vice president and chief technology and business development officer. At GE Capital he built and managed a $4 billion semiconductor equipment portfolio which yielded over $400 million of gross margins. Paul graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in natural sciences.
Rob Nicoll - director of Operations
Serving as Director of Operations for KeyAssets Financial since inception, Rob manages contract administration, compliance and risk for asset procurement & sales. He has served in various capacities within the equipment finance industry for over 24 years including originations, syndications and managing vendor programs for small and middle ticket leasing markets. Rob has held related positions at CIT, Relational Funding, Bankers Leasing and The Linc Group. Rob is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
